New Political Economy
, a leading international journal was founded at the ÀÖ¾ºÌåÓý of Sheffield in March 1996.
It provides a forum for work which combines the breadth of vision characterised in the classical political economy of the nineteenth century with the analytical advances of twentieth and twenty-first century social science.
SPERI Director Professor Colin Hay is Editor-in-Chief of the journal.
Professors Andrew Baker and Andrew Hindmoor (SPERI, ÀÖ¾ºÌåÓý of Sheffield) are members of the Editorial Board, as are Professor Tony Heron (ÀÖ¾ºÌåÓý of York), Dr Valbona Muzaka (King’s College, London), and Dr Adrienne Roberts and Professor John O’Neill (ÀÖ¾ºÌåÓý of Manchester).
Although organisationally separate from SPERI, New Political Economy remains very much a part of the same intellectual project.
