Dr David Hollis organises first in-person CCO Data Collective workshop

Dr David Hollis, Lecturer in Organisation Studies at Sheffield ÀÖ¾ºÌåÓý Management School, led and organised the first in-person Communication as Constitutive of Organization Data Collective workshop, hosted at the ÀÖ¾ºÌåÓý of Vienna.

The workshop, led and organised by Hollis and Ellen Nathues (Leuphana ÀÖ¾ºÌåÓý) and hosted at the ÀÖ¾ºÌåÓý of Vienna, saw 30 scholars, early career researchers, doctoral students and practitioners from the international organization and management studies community come together to analyse one another’s data from a variety of communicative and performativity perspectives. Attendees represented a wide variety of global business and communication schools including Copenhagen Business School, Leuphana ÀÖ¾ºÌåÓý, Université de Montréal, Université TÉLUQ, ÀÖ¾ºÌåÓý of Helsinki, ÀÖ¾ºÌåÓý of Innsbruck, ÀÖ¾ºÌåÓý of Nottingham and ÀÖ¾ºÌåÓý of Twente.

An eclectic range of material was presented with novel perspectives on data generated, working papers developed and new collaborations formed.

The online version of the workshop continues to run on a quarterly basis and a second in-person variant is planned for July 2023.
