“During my Masters application process, I was torn between two universities: the �־����� of Manchester (where I completed my BSc) and Sheffield. I knew that I made the right decision by moving to Sheffield. Being in a new city, meeting with lots of international friends, and having support from great researchers had a massive impact on both my academic career and social life!

“I’m currently doing my DPhil at the Department of Oncology, �־����� of Oxford. It wasn’t an easy process at all, but it was totally worth it! I spent a year going through application processes, interviews and had a research placement at the �־����� of Sheffield under supervision of Professor Peter Monk.

I can honestly say that all the taught modules, practical training, and the placement opportunity, provided a great chance to advance my perspective, knowledge, experience, and allowed me to focus on my aspirations in order to accomplish a career in the Oncology field. My hope is to translate my research inventions from bench-to-bedside to improve diagnosis and prognosis of cancer patients.
